Adoption
I would love to adopt. I have always had that dream. I just long to have the feeling of taking a child from a situation that is helpless and wrong and shining a new light on their life. I had a great talk with a new friend of ours the other night. He and his wife adopted a child from Russia. What a sweet, polite little boy he is. Some of things he told us about what he saw in this Russian Orphanage are just unimaginable to an American. Third world countries do not value human beings like the average American. By the time these little orphans were two years old, they could walk in a single file line, feed themselves, comb their own hair, brush their teeth, dress, and identify and use a locker. The only possible way to train such a young child to do this is by fear and intimidation. It's so sad. If only 1/3 of the people that think about adopting did, there would be no more children available. We need to quit thinking and start following our hearts....

Blessing for Joy
Today I wanted to make sure and ad a link to "Blessings for Joy." They are a local a non-profit organization educating and feeding orphans/needy children in Uganda, Africa. It is only $25 a month and that provides your child with food, shelter and clothing. You will recieve updates on your child and are able to communicate with them. The first letter I recieved from my Eseza, brought tears to my eyes. They are so greatful for the little they have. Let them be your reminder for how fortunate you are...It truly is rewarding. You can click on Eseza's picture to read more about Blessings for Joy.
